Choosing opticals.
Hi, I had a prescription spectacle with two powers near(+1.25) and distance (-1.0). First I used bifocal, getting headaches and sleepiness when studying. After consulting the doctor,  I shifted to progressive. Since  I did not improve my symptoms. Mostly I work on computers. Sometimes I read books. When I am reading books I am getting a headache. Can I shift to reading glasses for reading purposes only.

Not everyone is able to adapt to progressive lens and bifocals. If you have problems with both, you can use them separately for near and distance.
Next Steps
Do get your number rechecked by ophthalmologist before purchasing new pair of glasses
