I had sent my son to Boarding school when he was only eight years old. But i am very much worried whether it will affect him psychologically. Doctor please help and guide me in this situation.

It may be effect ur child.But if u assure ur child that whenever he is any problems his father,mother,whole family is with him.Though he is in boarding school but family miss him badly.
A good bonding is needed between child and family.
If bonding is strong then u may stay abroad or ur child may stay abroad, nothing will effect ur child psychologically.
Try to increase this bond by love ,empathy, confidence ,sharing good quality times etc.

Every child adjusts differently at the boarding school and they take their own time to adjust. You can try talking to him as and when possible to understand his feelings and try to make him understand the positives of being in a boarding school. Try keeping the communication open with him and show your love and care for him and he will be able to adjust well with time. Also try to encourage him to make friends, participate in school activities, communicate with teachers etc. All these will make him adjust well with positive and well mental state.
