Hi Thanks for the question Low-dose CT is a better screening modality than a chest X-ray for lung cancer. It is recommended for former smokers who stopped smoking within the last 15 years Frequency according to the NELSON study at baseline, at 1 year, 3 years and 5.5 years until more than 15 years from stopping.
