Check for diabetes
Hi, I am 31 years old. I have got my self tested for Hba1c on recommendation of office dr during free health check-up. The result came at 6.8. Am i diabetic? It was never diagnosed earlier but my father is diabetic. What medication should i follow? Can it be cured completely?

Your Hba1c is in diabetic range. You have a positive family history too. You need to see a diabetologist and check other parameters as diabetes is often a metabolic disorder. Based on your reports and present lifestyle I would suggest treatment -lifestyle modification and medicines if required. Diabetes may be reversed with proper treatment
