Catract surgery
My mother is 70 yrs.. She is having catract in her left eye for more than 10 years and she lost her eye sight also but no problem from that eye.. Now from last week she complained about eye pain redishness and headache nausea which are very unusal.. Consulted neary by hosp they said catract is hyper matured and presence of glucoma after pressure redced surgery needs to be done immeditely. Now prerssure is reduced and they are saying vison will not come back for sure.. We can jus give a try.. We cannot implant lens also its very complicate we will do manual surgery but no hope for vision.. Is it true? Pls see attached photo is it hyper matured catract? Is it difficult to.operate it? If operatr also no chance of vision? Will she get glucoma after removing catract also?pls help.

When you wait so long with mature cataract, it becomes hypermature and produces lens induced glaucoma. Don't wait, get it operated as early as possible, because this is the only treatment, otherwise she may lose the  eye. It's not difficult to operate hypermature cataract and results are very good. Select the best surgeon in your area.

Yes it is a hyper mature cataract. It is complicated compared to normal cataract. But u will have to get it operated urgently..otherwise it will cause more rise in pressure and eye pain. Vision may or may not get better or partially get better. After operation, she will get better.
