Cataract Operation
Hi, My father is about to have cataract operation. rarely he will be suffering from neck pain. Will there be any problem if he gets operated for cataract. He heard that if person is having neck pain, and if he gets eye operation, there are chances of getting paralysis. So Please suggest, will there by any problem in having eye operated..

No there is no relation between and eye operation and paralysis He just have to lie down with his neck straight for about 10-15 min no neck pressure or medicines are used around the neck. Now only drops are used for anaesthesia and no injections are given which can affect the body. A anaesthetist is just for a backup if the patient is not comfortable.
