Hello, Insomnia or poor sleep is usually a surface presentation of some other disease process in the body. The problems which may cause insomnia range from physical problems like obesity, endocrinal irregularities like thyroid, psychological problems like relationship issues, shift of place, work stress, to psychiatric illnesses like depression, anxiety etc. Hence your condition is likely to require a comprehensive assessment. Please consult a psychiatrist near you for comprehensive assessment and management. Some investigation of physical and psychological nature may be done as per clinical requirements. Do not neglect impaired sleep as a symptom as there is likely to be more to it than is appearing on surface. Hope this helps you. Best wishes for your health and future..
