Can taximo 200 be used instead of zificv
My dr prescribed me zifi cv 200 for 3 days. One in the morning and one at night. But I just realized that the pharmacist had just given me only 4 nos of zifi cv. Dr, is it ok if I continue with taximo 200 ( I have this at home now) instead of zifi cv 200. Kindly advise. I'm supposed to take another dose of Zifi cv tonight.

Hi,yes you can have taxim o instead of zifi cv. The difference between the two medication is that zifi cv is a combination drug of cefixime and clavulanic acid while taxim o is just cefixime. Clavulanic acid is not a clinically potent antibacterial drug,it promotes the action of cefixime.So if you have only taxim o available you can have it as it does not break the antibiotic course.
