Can I get pwd
ADHD diagnosed, job issues since childhood — can I get PWD certificate? Hi doctors,  I am a 29-year-old male. Since childhood I always felt something was wrong. I have been terminated from many jobs because I struggled to focus and manage tasks. I also couldn't complete my graduation. Recently a psychiatrist diagnosed me with ADHD. I tried both types of ADHD medicines but they did not help much. I want to ask:  Can a person with ADHD get a PWD (Person With Disability) certificate in India? Please guide me on eligibility and process Looking for multiple opinions Should I try or waste of time?

Yes, ADHD is covered under the RPWD Act 2016. If your ADHD is causing major problems in work, studies, and daily life, you can apply for a PwD certificate. Go to your District Hospital/Govt Medical College psychiatry department. They will assess your condition and give a disability %. If it is 40% or more, you will get the certificate and later the UDID card. It is not a waste of time — many adults with long-term ADHD difficulties are eligible.
