Have long-standing, stable pigmentation on my calves extending upwards, present since many years, with normal skin texture and no symptoms.
I understand this may be constitutional pigmentation.
I want to know:
– Is any treatment actually effective beyond mild cosmetic improvement?
– Are lasers worth the risk in such cases, especially in brown skin?
– Or is conservative care / no treatment the best approach?

If you are Bangalore based, best to be seen in person or at best a video call on an Online Consultation for best results.
Clear pics of your condition and then follow up for 3-6 weeks is needed to attempt to clear all this.
Detailed history especially of Stressors, Work/study conditions etc (standing long hrs for eg) is important and for this reason too, 📥 is best.
Avoid OTC products usage (over the counter) & Lasers while useful in some conditions may actually worsen pigmentation issues if the correct laser modality is not employed.
Creams will have to be tailor made as per your condition but a good quality ☀️ screen is best used from dawn to dusk especially if calves etc are exposed.
Look forward to a more detailed discussion online or in person as per your preference.
Godspeed 🙏
