Can benzoyl peroxide cause wrinkles?
I am using benzoyl peroxide from 3 months to treat acne on my face. I am using benzoyl peroxide cream 4 % and benzoyl peroxide face wash 4% in night. I am suddenly noticing fine lines or wrinkles near my cheeks. Please help as I am seeing noticable fine line and my age is just 25

Dear Practo User, Do not use benzoyl peroxide over face for long time as it can cause contact Dermatitis, dryness and redness over face. Sunprotection is important while taking treatment for acne or pimples.

Hello...That is dryness due to benzoyl peroxide that you are noticing. What you can do is just leave the cream for few hours in evening,wash with water and apply moisturiser before sleeping. That l reduce the dryness and hence the appearance like wrinkles.

Hello dear. Benzoyl peroxide washes are excellent for acne. They don't cause wrinkles and fine lines. Excessive sun exposure  and  heavy smoking are  main culprits. Avoid both
