  4. Buzing sound. Of hearing loss treatable?

My husband is 39 years old. He started hearing a buzzing sound yesterday morning and today when he woke up the buzzing was still there but he has also lost hearing in his left ear. What could be the issue and is this type of hearing loss treatable?
