Brown and Red dots in cough
Hi Doctor From last 2 days When I spit cough in morning I found some patches I don't know it's red or brown exactly. I never smoked even a single cigarette in my life .There is irritation in my throat and I have gastritis problem and no pain in chest.

Hi. You may have throat irritation due to a viral infection or acid reflux. Brownish or yellowish specks are likely due to overnight accumulation of phlegm during sore throat.

Gargle your throat using lukewarm water with rock salt for atleast 3-4times a day. Report to doctor if there is persistent problem or new fever or cough. Avoid spicy and oily foods at night especially late night Avoid carbonated beverages or cold drinks Reduce coffee intake Don’t sleep immediately after having dinner. Drink plenty of water
