Brother has depression
My brother has locked himself in his room and is not talking to anyone since a week. He is only eating twice a day that too just bread and lemon water. He opened the door for my father but did not respond to his questions or conversations and just lay there covering his head in blanket. We are very worried. We don't know how to reach out to him.

Sorry to hear about your brother's situation. There can be many reasons for his isolation. Nevertheless there is a need to develop some communication. You could try improvisation of communication techniques. Try giving him options regarding whom, when, where, how he wants to talk. Try not to upset him by being non-judgemental. If all fails, please consult psychiatrist for help.
