It’s completely understandable to feel concerned when a baby starts refusing breastfeeds during the day. This is quite common around 5–6 months of age and often happens due to increased awareness, teething, or a preference for bottle feeding. The fact that your baby still breastfeeds at night or early morning is reassuring—it shows he hasn’t completely weaned.
Next Steps
What you can do is : * Minimize distractions while feeding * Avoid forcing * Limit bottle preference: Offer breast before formula. * Check for any discomfort like teething or ear discomfort Now that your baby is completing 6 months, it’s the right time to start complementary foods also (semi-solids like mashed fruits, vegetables, or rice). Breast milk should still be the main source of nutrition, but adding solids may improve feeding interest and balance nutrition.
Health Tips
You’re doing a great job ensuring your baby gets what he needs—whether through breast milk or formula. Many babies go through such phases and return to breastfeeding with time and patience. If any other queries or want to consult , I’m happy to support you through this transition.
