I’ve been trying to stop breastfeeding by keeping my 17 month baby away from me for the past 3 days, but he has been crying a lot, especially at night. I’m not sure if this method is causing more stress. Is this the right way to stop breastfeeding, or should I try a different approach?

Thank you for reaching out. Sudden separation can be stressful for both you and your baby. A gradual approach reducing feeds slowly, offering comfort through cuddles or distractions, and involving another caregiver for soothing may ease the transition.

Breastfeeding can be continued till 2 yrs of age.
To wean off from breastfeeding, is not to give it during day time and at night time you can continue giving and gradually stop that also.
You start including dairy product and home made food extensively
Use less sugar
