Breastfeeding 5 month old baby
Hello My 5month old baby not showing to interest to breastfeeding like before and he is drinking only 8 to 10 times a day and im not sure whether its enough for him or not he seems not so hungry also he wakes up frequently at night and drink 2mins and go back to sleep schedule is getting changed is that normal or do i need to feed something else than breastfeeding does it cause any problem in his weight gain

8-10 times is good enough as long as he is gaining weight
Next Steps
Frequent waking up at night is not to be encouraged. In a month you will start semisolids . Make sure he fills his stomach with a good dinner. His night wakening will improve .

Hi, As baby grow older the feeding time reduces and duration between feeds increases. This is normal. They are playing

Continue breast feeding till he is 6 months Mother can take plenty of fluids and healthy food so that breast milk is adequate After 6 months you can start with rice cereal fruit purées or carrot purées .
