Their are certain signs of adequate breast feeding
Your baby feeds at least 8–12 times in 24 hours.
You hear or see regular swallowing during feeds.
Your baby seems relaxed, satisfied and sleeps for atleast 2 hrs after feeding.
Breasts feel softer after a feed.
At least 5-7 wet diapers/day
Steady weight gain after the first week atleast 15-20g/ day
Minimum feeding should be 15 to 20 min and breast feed on one side and once it is empty you can change to other breast or if adequate secretion alternate breast feeding will help
If baby sleeps in between feed wake him up by tapping feet, rubbing ear lobe or gentle back rub
Your baby BW is 2.4kg gained 600g in 40 days
1st week baby usually loose weight so lets consider for 34 days n your baby has gained around 18g/day seems to be healthy and reassuring rate of growth

Try to see that the baby is able to latch and suck or not. If the baby is sucking good, you can give her gentle tickle after 5 mins to wake her up and breastfeed. Adequate time for breastfeed is 15-20 mins per session. Try to start from one breast, empty it and then feed from other side. Since the baby is gaining weight and passing urine and stools adequately, baby is receiving adequate amount of milk. No need to worry.

First of all congratulations to u for having a baby...
Mam if the baby is sleeping well for 2-3 hours after feeding that means she is getting enough milk ...u can choose alternate breast in next feed as it will prevent breast engorgement...
As u said baby was little premature but now she has gained 600 grams in last 40 days...although a fair gain but slightly on lower side..but u r doing good...continue breast feeding...for more information u can consult me anytime..would be happy to help u out
