Breastfeed
Hello, My baby is 18 days old, she has lbw of 2.48 . Recently we reviewed her weight on Monday , it was 2.44 grams. I'm breastfeeding as well as giving her formula feed of 30 ml ( 4 times a day). When I express my milk, it's coming upto 30 ml per feed per one breast. Please tell me if this is sufficient. Also, I want to stop formula milk, but not sure if my baby is really sucking my breast, if it's sufficient for her. My feeding time is 30-45 mins,my milk flow is not constant, varies time to time,,I feel my baby is not full..she is still fussy after each breastfeeding unlike formula feed Please help me

Please consult a senior lactation specialist. They can assess if you have adequate milk and other issues. Breast milk is ideal for baby. Formula can lead to a lot of problems. Weight loss is normal in initial 1-2 weeks. To increase milk flow, please do meditation daily like isha kriya etc. Listen to calming songs like bhajans etc. Don't watch tv, news, newspapers. Eat fresh home cooked food. Be calm at all times.

Hi. Feed every 2 hrly . Feed one side and express milk from other breast and feed with spoon or pallada every 2 hrly. If baby is gaining weight adequately and passing urine more than 6 times/ day, then your milk is sufficient.
