Breast pain
From 10 days breast is leaking after removing bra at night. (Stopped breastfeeding from almost two years) .I am having watery discharge. But today I am having pain in my left breast from morning and it is gradually increasing. What should I do . Is this hormonal or something else.

Milky or watery discharge from both breasts two years after stopping breastfeeding is not residual milk and should be investigated. The commonest reason is a raised prolactin level, which can come from a small benign pituitary lesion, an underactive thyroid, or several medicines including some used for acidity, nausea, blood pressure and mood. Nipple stimulation, including frequent checking, keeps the discharge going. Watery or milky discharge from both sides is generally less concerning than discharge from a single duct or discharge that is blood stained.

Please see a gynaecologist or a breast specialist and ask for serum prolactin and thyroid function tests, and take a list of every medicine and supplement you use. A clinical breast examination should be part of the visit.
