Breast lump l sonomamogram report
Hello all..I observed a breast lump in my left breast a 3 weeks ago...I consulted a surgeon who asked me to go for breast usg..My report shows Birads category 3. I am told to go fore core biopsy. Iam also lactating mother. Is core biopsy neccesary at this point..if yes will it affect my breast feeding or will I be able to continue breastfeeding as normal? Pls also tell me how this core biopsy is done? Exactly where they give local anesthesia? What is the recovery time? Breast usg report attached

Biopsy will be needed... But whether it can be delayed can only be decided after thorough clinical examination and history taking. Need not worry as of now. Details of how a biopsy is done will be explained by the surgeon himself who will do it. In general it is a relatively safe procedure.
