Braxton hick contractions
Hii..iam 33 weeks pregnant.my stomach is tightening and loosening lasting for 30-40 seconds without pain..are these braxton hick contractions??these contractions has increased in my 3rd trimester.will they lead to early labour? I discussed with my doctor but she didn't clear my doubt but prescribed duvadalin 40mg..and pan 40.

If there's no pain with the tightening it is Braxton Hicks lf there is pain take the prescribed medicines to prevent premature labour.

On and off tightening is common through out the pregnancy which is normal. It's neither harmful or will cause any early labour. Watch for danger signs like bleeding per vagina, progressive pain abdomen.

If there isn’t pain don’t worry but do watch for signs if labour like pain increasing in intensity occurring at frequent intervals any leak or bleeding We can wait and watch for 24 hours if pain doesn’t subside or the symptoms occur visit the doctor
