Brain stroke and DVT treatment
Wife is undergoing blood clot treatment since one month and is in warfarin 5 mg. at hospital she was having the warfarin at 6 am in the morning empty stomach . Since a week of discharge doctor has shifted it to 6 pm evening empty stomach. I feel that her INR was more stable if warfarin was taken in morning as compared to evening.. also her inr has reduced from 2.4 to 2.13 in a week after shifting the dose to evening.. kindly advise if timing of giving warfarin affects INR ? What is the best time to take warfarin ? And in evening how can the tablet be given empty stomach ?
