Bone extension in hand

There is a bone extension in my left hand.It was like this earlier before but now it has grown bigger I guess. When I make a fist it becomes more bigger. Is it normal or do I need to consult a doctor??

This is looking like a ganglion. It is not normal. But dont do anything if not painful.. If it is painful then you would need surgery.
