You are not able to concentrate, you feel fatigue, loss of interest in activities and not able to take decisions along with persistent low mood. It is not clear since when you are experiencing the above symptoms, the severity and the extent of distress and dysfunction caused. Most of the symptoms that you described seem to indicate a Mood Disorder but it would need a detailed evaluation by a Clinical Psychologist to ascertain the diagnosis. A Clinical Psychologist with evaluate, do the appropriate assessments and make a diagnosis and provide you with a detailed treatment plan. It is suggested that you do Activity Scheduling and Behavioral Activation Tasks. Meanwhile, you can keep a Mood Diary and also engage into Expressive Writing Therapy. - Set a timer for 20 minutes. - Open up your notebook (or begin a document on your computer). - When the timer starts, begin writing about your emotional experiences from the past week, month and year. - Don't worry about punctuation, sloppiness or coherence. - Simply go wherever your mind takes you, curiously and without judgment. - Write just for yourself, and not for some eventual reader. - Do this for a few days. - Then, close the document without saving it, or throw the paper away. - Or stick it in a bottle and cast it out to sea. - It doesn't matter. - The point is that those thoughts are now out of you and on the page. - You have begun the process of 'stepping out' from your experience to gain perspective on it.
Next Steps
Consult a Clinical Psychologist for detailed evaluation and treatment plan.
