Hello !! My age is now 24 and my mother is age is 45+ . We both had a sinues n contionous sneezing(asthama) problem, one of the aged doctor treated us he used to give injection combination of benosol n derifylie contiously 3 days later he prescribed the tablets combination of ASTHALIN2 + BETNESOL + CETIRIZINE+ DEXONA +DERIPHYLINE daily twice ie mrng n evng for one mnth .. aftet one mnth we felt very free and the problem was gone .. this all took in 6 years bak .. . . Wenever v felt cold r contioues sneezez v used to take tablest combination ASTHALIN2 + BETNESOL + CETIRIZINE+ DEXONA +DERIPHYLINE .. now the problem is froM last one year v both are facing some allergetic problem like SKIN ELLERGY N EYES ELLERGY .. so we consulted onther doctor he saying that the tab. Which v r taking are steriods those are not good for health, by having these there is chance of side effects etc .. is it true ? Shel we contine the tab? Those are safe r not ?

Best treatment would be to find allergens causing symptoms and to avoid it...over the counter antihistaminics will be beneficial to you...Consult nearest allergy clinic for skin prick test and other modalities of investigations in which they will test you for various allergens and find out to what you are allergic...and they treat you with diluted doses of that allergen to desensitise your body to that allergen...good luck.

Betnesol and Dexona are steroid tablets that are to be used only to tide over acute problem. Their long term use can cause weight gain, Diabetes, Hypertension and decreased immunity. Unnecessary use of steroids is to be avoided.
