I have been diagnosed with mild gastritis on FEB 2024, I was on a medication till today as per the prescription given to me.
Following medications i was being taking
1. Nexito 5MG - Daily 1 time
2. Inderal 40MG - Daily 2 Time (half tablet each)
3. PPSON DSR - Daily 1 Time
Few days back i had stopped PPSON DSR Capsule for around 20 days. Now i am having bodily discomfortness like recurrent anxious feeling, stomach heaviness, head feels heavy and my mood have been changing recurrently to anxious and down and with that medium tiredness also been facing. Don't know whether it is due to sudden stoppage of medicine or something else. Kindly help me in this regard as my appointment have been scheduled after 5 days.

Abruptly stopping the PPI may have caused the symptoms you are experiencing.Ideally the dose should be reduced gradually before stopping the medicine.

Your symptoms point towards anxiety disorder, though you should have detailed discussion with a doctor before making a diagnosis. Please consult a doctor, perhaps your dosage for Nexito might need to increase. Gastritis was due to anxiety, once anxiety is controlled, it would automatically go down. till then there is no harm in restarting PPSON DSR

First two tablets in ur prescription are to treat anxiety. U might be having anxiety along with gastritis, that's why ur doctor prescribed those drugs along with ppson dsr. If u are having anxiety again, consult your doctor again and change the dosage again.

Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) should not be stopped abruptly if they’ve been used for a prolonged period, as this can lead to rebound acid hypersecretion. Restart the PPI at a lower dose,Tab Pantoprazole 20 mg once daily before breakfast for 10 days and then discontinue.
