Blood vomit/in sputum
He complained blood in his sputum 15 days back, but upon consulting physician we gone thru chest x-ray , blood test and mentoux test. Mentoux was negative, blood report did not suggest any problem. X-ray was okay. After having antibiotics for a week , we stopped the treatment. Yesterday, while he was sleeping he felt like vomit or cough and woke up to spit then he saw blood coming. We are worried and would like senior doctor to suggest what test we should go for now and which department of doctor will be able to identify this. Please suggest us on this. He is pretty much fine and does not complain any fever or other health issue.

Hi, Thank you for the query. It seems that blood in vomitus is due to some ulcer in esophagus or stomach. As blood investigations are normal, it's not due to any infective causes. Kindly see a gastroenterologist, and get an upper GI endoscopy. Hope this helps.
