Dear frightened friend! Don’t panic at all. It is very common to see high sugar in newly detected diabetics. Is this fasting or post meal or random blood sugar? Do you have family history of diabetes? Initially if you pay good attention it is feasible to control diabetes soon. First let’s confirm the diagnosis by tests I’ll prescribe. Secondly alter your lifestyle positively by exercising regularly, avoiding smoking alcohol and high calorie foods.
Next Steps
Check HbA1c, Fasting and post lunch sugars asap.
