Blood streaks in the stool
I have been seeing red streaks in my stool from 1.5 year. It's painless. I am afraid that it could be colorectal cancer. I am afraid to get the colonoscopy done. Is it painful? And if it is cancer can we expect a long time survival.

If not, then you are young for a sporadic occurrence of cancer.
However, before a detailed inspection, it cannot be ruled out.
Blood in stools in your age group could mean a number of diagnosis- Inflammatory bowel disease, fissure in Ano, internal haemorrhoids etc.
Best to undergo a Per Rectal Examination first.

may be due to haemorrhoids... at this not common.... get a examination by general surgeon

It may be due to piles or even chronic fissure

Its mostly due to haemorrhoids, so prior to colonoscopy take medications & look whether decreasing or not.
