Hello Doctor, My age is 29 - Please advice me is Automatic BP machine reliable and correct or manual is better?? I am asking this query because I have check my bp in home with auto it is showing 120/70 and 133/82 while when i donated blood 2 days back my BP was 150/90 with manual. Please guide is auto BP machines are correct than manual. Should I worry about my BP?

Hello,
Automatic BP machines are fairly reliable if calibrated properly. It can happen that your BP is more in hospital which os called as white coat hypertension. If you want to confirm the simple solution is check your bp on manual as well as automatic machine simultaneously. Even if you have a white coat hypertension nothing to worry. You can get your ambulatory bp monitoring done if its fluctuating frequently.
