Blood in stool and constipation
I am a 21 year old female, and have had an external hemorrhoid once before (however no blood in stool). During the last week I have experienced constipation, bloating, the feeling that I cannot pass everything, straining to pass anything, and today I had bright red blood in the stool (not the paper or the bowl). What could this be? Could this be a hemorrhoid along with mere constipation? Or could there be something more?

Since you have a history of hemorrhoids  most probably  due to constipation and straining  it could have burst and caused the bleeding.  It is better to see a doctor who can examine you and advise you as to the exact cause of bleeding.
