Blood in cough

Hello there.
I can understand your concern.
Since when does he have this issue?
You should ask him to get the sputum checked out for grams staining, AFB staining and also for KOH mount.
It could be pneumococcal infection.
The results will tell exactly what it is.
Kindly consult a MD consultant physician in person for further evaluation and management.
