Blood clot
Hi , yesterday my father fell in road and had severe wound in his forehead with 8 stitches but he didn't have any nauseous symptoms and was conscious as well.doctor recommended for scan and said he had internal blood clot and need to consult neurosurgeon.He has no medical history at all. Attached the scan report for reference.Please suggest whether it's serious or can be the removed through medication.Thanks

He has hemorrhagic contusions. He needs to be on observation for any worsening of symptoms. Will need repeat CT scans according to the clinical symptoms. If there is any worsening of the hemorrhage causing compression of the ventricles, then may require surgical intervention. Otherwise the management is conservative with medications. if he s on any antiplatelet, it needs to be withheld for some days .
