Bleeding from BV treatment

Asked for Female, 25 Years

I got a Bacterial Vaginosis treatment gel that I'm supposed to use every evening for 7 days which I started using last night. I Today I woke up bleeding. Unsure whether this is caused by the gel or if my period has arrived a week earlier than it's supposed to. Can't see my doctor until Wednesday, so wanted to see if I could get some online advice.
