Bleeding after tympanoplasty
Is it normal for some bleeding to continue even after 7 days of tympanoplasty+mastoidectomy? My father had it done 7 days ago and even now some blood continues to leak out from the cotton stuffed in his ear canal. He's very active and can't sit still without doing something, so he keeps bending down and lifting something (not more than 1kg) every now and then. I hope it's not causing the bleeding right?

Usually blood does not come out after 1 week. Small amount of blood from ear after 1 week is not serious. But if it continues even after 1 more week then bleeding profile must be checked.
Health Tips
avoid lifting anything as it.increase middle ear pressure and may cause graft dislodgment
