Black nail falling off after injury
I had an injury on two fingers of my foot. One started bleeding and was treated for injury but it stayed black and now it is coming off. The thumb had no bleeding at the time of injury but turned black and is still black after almost 2 months. Can you suggest what can cause this and how it should be treated?

When the nail turns blacks after an injury; that happens because there is bleeding under the surface of the nail and the blood gets collected there. Sometimes over a few weeks to months the blood might get dissolved and remove from the area but NO CREAM OR TABLET will help to make that quicker. you will have to give it time!!!. If you're too concerned about it you can remove the surface of the nail surgically and that will also clear the clotted collected blood under the nail but I would NOT recommend this!!! Hope this was helpful.
