Mucormycosis is more common in immunocompromised n diabetic , as u r non diabetic and also u were on low dose of oral steroid ... So chances are very less .. did u checked Ur sugar levels when u were on steroid?
Vulnerability to black fungus due to steroids is mainly in the critically ill covid cases who were in icu for many days and were on high doses of steroids.
I think in your case since 8mg of steroids are considerably low dosage. And since u don't have diabetes. Risk of black fungus is not there in your case
