After taking sweets I feel bad toothache.I am asthmatic hence I need to take inhalers.As it is steroid I am anxious.I am little scared.My tooth has a little cavity and gum is a little swelled.

Kindly do not worry. The stress is not good for your asthma Mucormycosis does not spread from person to person. It is seen in people who had taken steroids and immunosuppressants especially where the doses were not right and woi had comorbidities like diabetes combined with poor oral hygiene . It is not seen much regularly If you are very scared, and since it's always better to err o  the side of caution,  do get an appointment with a dentist, ent or surgeon to rule out your fear. There will be clinics open which follow covid protocols. Take care!

Hi, it’s not black fungus. Sit back and Relax.. here are few tips to follow. Maintain your oral hygiene well. Continue taking your Asthama medicines. Brush twice a day with a fluoridated toothpaste. Salt and warm water gargles 2/3 times a day. Post covid, get your decayed tooth treated.

Hi, there! Please don't panic so much. Please follow the tips- 1.I would like to advice you, to continue your medication for asthma including inhaler containing steroid . 2.your dental condition is probably because of tooth cavity with associated infection called dentoalveolar abcess which requires clinical examination & some radiographic investigations to evaluate the condition. 3.In the meanwhile , you can maintain oral hygiene by brushing with proper technique & Gargle with lukewarm salt water after every meals to maintain oral hygiene. 4.increase consumption of vitamin C rich fruits like aawla, oranges, strawberry etc. & protein supplements to improve oral health and immunity respectively.

Don't worry  as amount of steroid in inhalers is very less and dose of steroid which we use in covid is very high (injectable) .It seems that swelling is due to infection in tooth.plz take online consultation and medication for that issue
