Dark underarms usually aren't a sign of anything serious. Darkening is often due to a skin condition called acanthosis nigricans. It causes skin to thicken and darken in folds around the body. Sometimes coz of waxing or shaving it may lead to hyperpigmentation. It can be improved, consult a Dermatologist for the same.
