Bipolar mania
How to cure  bipolar mania . Psychiatrist has recommended to take( OLA 10 mg and 1 tablet in morning and 1 in night  ) and LOPEZ 2 mg (1/2 tablet in night ) . Please recommend we should we do now to cure bipolar mania soon Also please tell us how we should behave to her . She also sometimes wakes up early in the morning. She is still behaving rude and speaking  so much and getting angry so much . Also please tell how much time it will take to get recover from disease. Please help me out I'll be highly oblighed for your kind act . Please tell how much time she will take to recover from bipolar mania .

If you can tell total duration of illness than I can guide in a better way. OLANZAPINE is good but monitor for side effects like weight gain and sedation. Mood stabilizer might be required if symptoms worsen.

Hi , Ola is good medications . If she takes regular it may take 1-2 weeks to settle and another 2 weeks to feel normal . As she is young generally response to medications are good. Following an episode of mania UK guidelines recommend to continue medications for 6months to 1 year. If she relapses and has second episode then she may need to continue for 3yrs.
