Hello, generally in a neonate of 4 to 7 days old, physiological jaundice appear. This is normal physiology. But if the level of s bilirubin rises beyond certain limit, it needs to be treated with phototherapy and exchange transfusion. Various factors are taken into account for normal s bilirubin range for an individual baby. You should visit a pediatrician for clinical evaluation and assesment of factors, He will than guide you accordingly.
