Best cavity filling material
Sir,Is Zirconia can be use as cavity filling for upper Molar teeth.Or I should go with traditional Silver amalgams. please suggest the best option for durability.

Zirconia is a type of cap used for broken teet .For filling gic or composite is better option.

Zirconia is a kind of cap used in more aesthetic area, it can't be used as filling material. These days traditional amalgam fillings are not advisable because of silver toxicity. Hello. For restoration (filling), composite or GIC or amalgam is used. Zirconia is used in crowns (tooth cap) and is not a filling material. Kindly consult a dentist to know what's best for you

From where did u find or who told u that zirconia is used as filling material? It’s a crown (cap) .. u can go for composite or gic for filling

Hello... For fillings, composite is a better option compared to amalgam ( mercury in amalgam has health hazards ) Zirconia is not used in fillings .
