My 3 year old son had bera test.right ear shows normal waves but for d left side waves r absent...wat does dat mean.....i m having appointment wid his dr.in next week but i cant wait fr dat long..i need second opinion.

Complete absence of waves in BERA can occur whenever there is severe hearing loss. It may mean that his hearing nerves are weak. But sometimes even middle ear problems can present similarly. This should be combined with test known as oto acoustic emissions to confirm inner ear problems
