No patient will not become immobile, proper physiotheraphy will help in keeping the muscles in better conditions and also prevent stiffness of the knee joint.
Next Steps
Patient can be made to sit and weight bearing can be started with a walker if cleared with the doctor.
Health Tips
Log rolling is very important as it helps prevent bed sores in the patient. Advisable to have an air/water bed and keeping the back and buttocks area dry and clean.
