Bed sores infection
My grandmother ( 85 yrs ) has severe bed sores at the back ( from top to bottom). Bad smell and pus is coming out daily. I have 4 yrs daughter in my home. Does anyone in the family will be affected by that? Will the infection spread to others?

Hello... Please do a pus culture and sensitivity of her bed sore and find out the bacterial sensitivity.The caregiver to the wound can acquire infection. Sensitive strains can be easily eliminated using appropriate antibiotics but if it is a resistant strain then it will be difficult to eliminate. If will not spread like a common cold or viral fever.
