Basketball hit in his  finger
Basketball hit in his lefthand middle finger. He has swelling and its green in color. I applied icepack and spray on it. Still he has swelling and green.When i press his finger he has feeling some pain. Is there any fracture or not. Kindly help.

This is a typical finger pulp injury. it possibly needs decompression. Kindly consult a ortho.or a hand surgeon. Don't  delay.

Normally basketball injuries gives rise to mallet bent finger sometimes fracture sometimes tendon injury. Plz check with your orthopaedician

To know whether there is a fracture or tendon avulsion you need to go for a physical examination and get an X-ray done as well. You can take otc pain medication and ice packs till then. Do not apply any spray
