Hello, I am Dr. Romain Rajan, General Physician. Your case has been allotted to me. I understand your concern feeling extreme weakness and low energy after taking Bandy Plus can be distressing. Bandy Plus is generally a multivitamin or supplement, but sometimes individual responses, underlying deficiencies, or other health issues can lead to persistent fatigue. ✅ Advices • Stop taking the supplement until you consult your doctor • Maintain a balanced diet with adequate protein, fruits, and vegetables to support energy levels • Ensure proper hydration and rest What to Monitor • Any new symptoms such as dizziness, palpitations, shortness of breath, or swelling • Persistence of extreme weakness or fatigue despite rest and nutrition Management Extreme weakness is not a typical side effect of multivitamins. It is important to evaluate your blood counts, iron levels, vitamin B12, folate, and other relevant tests to rule out deficiencies or other causes of fatigue before continuing or starting any supplement. Avoid self-medicating with other vitamins or medicines for now. When to Consult a Doctor Immediately • Severe dizziness, fainting, or inability to perform daily activities • Shortness of breath, rapid heart rate, or chest discomfort • Any sudden worsening of weakness or new neurological symptoms Every patient situation is unique. For accurate evaluation and safe management, it is important to review your current supplements, medical history, and perform basic blood investigations. You can reach out to me directly for this case and also connect with me in future for any medical consultation. I am available on Practo or on WhatsApp at 85271646 seven seven for a one-on-one consultation where you will receive: A personalized treatment plan Safe supplement or medicine adjustments if required Quick follow-ups to track your recovery Take care wishing you good health Best regards Dr. Romain Rajan General Physician

Stop taking the drug and pls get a blood panel consisting of CBC, LFT, RFT and Thyroid profile asap. Bandy plus is not recommended to be used for more than 3-4 days in normal circumstances , perhaps your problem can be due to it. Anyways, pls consult after getting your blood reports done.

Taking Bandy Plus (Albendazole + Ivermectin) daily for 10 days is much higher than the recommended dose — usually, it’s a single dose or at most 3 days depending on indication. Overuse can temporarily affect your liver enzymes, gut flora, and energy levels, leading to fatigue and weakness. You should: Get CBC, LFT, and renal function tests done. Drink plenty of fluids and eat a balanced diet. Avoid any more antiparasitic medication until reviewed. Don’t worry — this is usually reversible, but you need personalized evaluation and possibly liver support or vitamin supplementation after review. Bandy Plus is a deworming medicine that contains: • Albendazole 400 mg — kills intestinal worms. • Ivermectin 12 mg — works against roundworms and some parasites. It’s usually taken as a single dose (or for 2–3 days only) — not for 10 consecutive days unless specifically prescribed for a rare parasitic infection. ⸻ ⚠️ Possible Side Effects (especially with prolonged use) Taking 10 tablets in 10 days can cause: • Fatigue and weakness (common if drug burdened your liver or caused mild anemia). • Loss of appetite, nausea, abdominal pain. • Headache, dizziness, muscle pain. • Rarely: Liver enzyme rise (temporary hepatitis-like reaction). • Very rarely: Bone marrow suppression (causing fatigue or low blood counts). ⸻ ✅ What You Should Do Now 1. Stop taking Bandy Plus — do not continue it. 2. Visit a doctor (preferably a general physician) and ask for: • CBC (Complete Blood Count) • Liver Function Test (LFT) • Renal Function Test (RFT) These tests will show if your weakness is due to low blood cells or liver stress from the medication. 3. Hydrate well and eat balanced meals (with protein, fruits, vegetables). 4. Avoid alcohol or other unnecessary medicines until checked.
