Hi
I got an enameloplasty done on my left molars, can I restore it back to its original length with some coating. Worried that it can cause problems to my bite. Should I see a reconstructive dentist.

Hi...First of all you need to mention the reason of enameloplasty. & We have thick enamel layer. If enameloplasty is done 0.5 mm then it would not cause any bite problem & sensitivity. So don't worry no need to restore it too.. For any further information, you can consult me.

Why did you get an enameloplasty done at such an younger age? Were your teeth sharp edged or did you get an RCT on the opposing molar?
If you are not having any sensitivity after getting enameloplasty then you need not worry about it. Our teeth usually tends to get back in occlusion if opposing teeth are present.
Note:- If you got enameloplasty done due to sharp edged teeth, your teeth might get sharp edged again.

Although addition can be done, but it depends on when was the enameloplasty done and how much was it. Usually enameloplasty is less than 0.5 mm for it to be non sensitive . Also Bite usually gets settled in few months. So if its not troubling you , you can wait bite usually settles on its own
