There are multiple reasons for halitosis and the ride reason can be evaluated after a proper clinical examination. The commonest reason is the deposition of hard deposits called as calculus On The Teeth which cannot be removed by brushing or flossing. They need to be removed professionally by a dentist through a procedure called as scaling. You still need to keep continuing proper brushing as well as flossing because that removes the soft layer of plaque which ultimately leads to calculus formation if not removed properly. Mouthwashes do not remove plaque but they definitely help in neutralizing the damaging effects of the same. The best mouthwashes are the ones which contain chlorhexidine gluconate. Brand names like clohex plus or hexidine or Rexidine are the ones which contain this generic composition. Search for a dentist in your vicinity using Practo and try to schedule an appointment as soon as possible for scaling. Regards.
